I love fall. As much as I love winter, I think autumn is probably my favorite season. I love the colors, the crisp air, finally getting to wear hoodies and boots. The dramatic change of the season energizes me with a promise of new and better things to come. I’m always inspired by the outdoors and nature, but autumn for me is the most inspiring of all.
For your enjoyment and inspiration, here’s a picture I took last fall. The ruined stone wall hidden in a forest of golden leaves… What kind of story does this picture inspire in you?
Happy autumn, everybody, and happy writing!

Lovely entry, dear Grace. Both autumn and winter really, really inspire me and, handily, I find that my mind is often clearest and most focused during those seasons, which is a massive win-win. I’ve said before, mostly kiddingly, of course, that if I could write all of my blog posts for the year during the winter, I would. (Though, wouldn’t actually, as I very much enjoy writing in the moment, especially when it comes to outfit posts.)
Wishing you a gorgeous autumn from start to finish,
Thank you! Yes, I’m always inspired by fall and especially winter – whether there’s snow outside or not! And a happy autumn to you, too! 🙂
