If you think your words or your art doesn’t matter, think again. Keep going, because your words are needed!
Let me know how this quote inspires you this week!
For those who don’t know, I’m moving in a couple of weeks. I’m moving literally across the country (east coast to west coast). Therefore, my blog posts may be a little thin for the next few weeks.
That being said, I’m sure anyone who has moved before (even if it’s just across town) and who loves books knows this to be true: you never realize how many books you have until you have to pack them all.
There’s nothing like a song titled “Seize the Day” to get you going, right? Enjoy this uplifting song from the classic musical Newsies!
Let me know how this music inspires you this week!
Music has always been one of my greatest sources of inspiration. I don’t usually listen to music while I’m actually writing, but while I’m brainstorming, researching, or making notes, I often have a playlist going. I know that a lot of writers have specific playlists for their books – whether it’s just their personal inspiration music, or the unofficial “soundtrack” of the finished book.
I just recently published a science-fiction novella titled Blueshift, and so I thought I’d share some of the tracks that I listened to that helped my muse as I wrote. If you’ve read the book, then you might see how these tracks could be a soundtrack – or you might be surprised by my selection of music!
